I am a language arts teacher with a bachelor's degree in English from CSU - Chico and secondary teaching credentials. I also attended George Washington University, where I studied Eastern European literature, German, and international affairs. I've three years of teaching experience as a high school English teacher. As a tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with everyone from elementary school students to adults. I've tutored reading, math, and test preparation for the SAT and ACT. I enjoy tutoring because I get to focus on an individual student and teach to them in the way that they learn best. I like to help students understand concepts and become confident in their abilities. Everybody learns differently, so I adapt my approach to meet each individual student's needs and learning style. I can assist students in English, essays, writing, study skills, public speaking, reading, grammar, literature, ACT prep, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, PSAT prep, SAT prep, SSAT prep, ISEE prep, and more. In my spare time, I enjoy doing yoga, agriculture, camping, hiking, nature, gardening, running, and cooking.
